We’ve teamed up with Nutritionist & Dietitian Nina Mills from What’s For Eats who is sharing her easy, fun and delicious summer inspired recipes that the whole family will love!
Kids don’t generally have trouble eating fruit; they have an innate preference for sweet flavours which fruit well and truly delivers! But for something a bit different, you can get your kids to make their own fruit pizzas. The fruit in the picture is just a suggestion only – feel free to use whatever you have on hand! The addition of yoghurt and the pizza base make these a more substantial snack, or could even stretch to be a light lunch if needed. Quantities of fruit and yoghurt will also vary depending on how many pizzas you want to make.
Preparation time: 10 minutes (or as long as it takes for little people to make a pizza!)
Small pizza bases
Desiccated or shredded coconut
- Chop up fruit
- Spread yoghurt over pizza bases
- Top with fruit
- Sprinkle coconut over the ‘pizza’
